Week of December 8-12

  This week is our River Ecology trip to Los Alamitos creek.  Students are practicing their water quality collection and macroinvertebrate identification in preparation for the trip.  Have a great week!

Week of December 1-5

Welcome back from Thanksgiving break.  This week students will be finishing up studying Aquatic Macro Invertebrates and moving on to Salmonids, including trout.  Next week Wednesday, December 10th is our field trip day.  Students will be gearing up to do water quality tests and identifying aquatic macroinvertebrates.  Have a great week

Week of Nov. 3 - 7

This week students will be investigating various water chemistry tests.  After becoming familiar with what each test does, they will be conducting water tests through lab work later this week.  Any final assignments should be in no later than Tuesday morning.  Thanks and have a great week

  This week we will be finishing up the novel 'Flush' by Carl Hiaasen.  We will then be beginning to write a reaction to the novel using evidence we have gathered along the way.  Our essential question is "How does an individual impact a community's environment?"
